Super Learning in a Super City
Super Learning in a Super City (SLSC) is a pre-packaged academic outreach program for grades Kindergarten through grade 12, which promotes literacy, health and fitness, environmental awareness, community service, character education and interdisciplinary learning through showcasing the Super Bowl's host community, its region and its people. The unique, customized SLSC content links to state and national K-12 curriculum standards and is endorsed by educators all over the country. Celebrating its eighth year, the SLSC program provides an opportunity for Bay area students to connect with the Super Bowl in a classroom setting. The program culminates in a "Countdown from the Classroom" television media presentation that highlights Super Learning teachers and students learning together. Stay tuned to www.tampabaysuperbowl.com this fall when you can download the free curriculum guides and learn more about participating in Super Learning in a Super City.

Super Kids - Super Sharing
The Super Kids - Super Sharing sports equipment and book donation project allows school children and their families to get involved in the Super Bowl recycling movement by donating lightly used, or new, sports equipment and books for use by local children in need. Participating schools will collect in the winter of 2008, with a final collection drive held in January 2009 at one of Tampa's Youth Education Town (YET) Centers. Volunteers from each school will deliver donated items, and representatives from the NFL and Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee will be on hand to thank students and organizers. Both public and private schools may participate in the program. Schools interested in participating or those with questions about Super Kids - Super Sharing should contact Susan Groh with NFL Environmental at (401) 732-1551 or by email at nflenvironment@aol.com. Donated items will be distributed to local youth via Tampa's YET Centers.
